European Commission publishes follow-up report on cross-border e-commerce

The European Commission released today its follow-up report to the March 2009 report on cross-border e-commerce in the EU.
The new report, published on 22 October 2009, aims to check the availability of products and to quantify the savings European Consumers can make when shopping cross-border online, which illustrates why it is important to increase efforts to combat the above-mentioned barriers.

eBay CEO Reiterates Open Internet Support

John Donahoe joined with the CEOs of major Internet and technology industry companies, including Twitter, Facebook, Google, and Amazon in a letter of support for Net Neutrality to the Federal Communications Commission. The FCC is undertaking a rulemaking on the issue of non-discrimination on the Internet and the process is expected to run through early 2010.
